I was originally hired at Schwab to create a client welcome center website for TD Ameritrade clients transitioning to Schwab (shown below).

The integration of TDA into Schwab was one of the largest mergers in the history of the financial services industry, with around 12 million accounts moving over to Schwab.

My UX content strategy role on the welcome center had a heavy goal to achieve — make every person transitioning to Schwab feel welcomed, informed about their transition timeline, and secure that they will be able to access their money and services when the time came.

My role included creating content strategy and wireframes for the hub, plus “rolling with the punches” as large teams had to stay on the same page and new information came in every week about what our transitioning clients needed.

Beyond the welcome center, my time at Schwab has included:

  • Branding and website strategy for Schwab Trading powered by Ameritrade (pictured below as well).

  • UX research and strategy for our High and Ultra-High Net Worth clients

  • Content audit on over 380 product marketing pages to recommend enhancements

  • And many more website, email, and messaging projects where my UX research, strategy, and content expertise was put to good use

Charles Schwab’s “Through clients’ eyes” motto has been the focus of my UX strategy work during my time here.
